Haarstube - this was one of the various buildings around the farmhouse Enghagen about 150 years ago. This was a typical farm consisting of seven to ten single small buildings around the main living house.

Each small building was for a different purpose. In the Haarstube there was produced the typical farmer's linen.

The plant was cultivated on the fields around the farm. Then it was hayed, dried, broken and finally spun. All these activities were done at the Haarstube. Therefore it has got that name.

Later it was woven and bedlinen and clothes were made out of it too.

The Haarstube was newly rebuilt about 50 years ago and totally restored three years ago. Now I can offer the apartment to people who would like to enjoy their holiday in a natural surrounding combined with a high standard of accommodation.
